Field Application Specialist - Separation Technology

The Field Application Specialist – Separation Technology role focuses on providing technical expertise and application support for filtration and purification products. The position involves working closely with customers across biopharma, biotech, pharmaceutical, and academic sectors while supporting product demonstrations, technical training, and market development across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Sartorius is seeking a Field Application Specialist to support its Separation Technology product portfolio across Sub-Saharan Africa. This role focuses on providing technical expertise, application guidance, and customer support for filtration and purification solutions used in biotechnology and pharmaceutical environments. The successful candidate will collaborate with sales and marketing teams to assist customers with product applications, training, troubleshooting, and implementation of technical solutions. The role requires strong scientific knowledge, customer engagement skills, and the ability to travel frequently to support clients and partners across the region.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and product expertise for filtration and purification technologies.
- Deliver product demonstrations, training sessions, and technical presentations to customers.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify new business opportunities.
- Assist customers with troubleshooting and optimizing biopharmaceutical processes.
- Participate in marketing activities including product launches and technical seminars.
- Gather and communicate customer feedback and market insights to internal teams.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related field.
- Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or biopharmaceutical laboratory environments.
- Customer-facing experience in technical support, applications, or sales roles is beneficial.
- Understanding of filtration, purification, and biopharmaceutical production processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for technical troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with willingness to travel extensively.
