Senior Industrial Designer

Manta Sleep is a fast-growing eCommerce company specializing in premium sleep products designed to improve rest and recovery, generating over $30M in revenue with a goal of reaching $50M. The Senior Industrial Designer role focuses on designing innovative physical products from concept through mass production. The position involves leading product design initiatives, collaborating with manufacturing partners, and ensuring that product designs deliver both strong user experience and commercial viability.

Manta Sleep is seeking a Senior Industrial Designer to lead the design and development of innovative sleep products from concept to mass production. This role focuses on creating high-quality consumer products that enhance user comfort, usability, and aesthetics while ensuring manufacturing feasibility. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product leadership, marketing, and manufacturing partners to bring new products to market. The position requires strong design expertise, hands-on prototyping skills, and the ability to translate user insights and business goals into commercially successful product designs.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the full product design lifecycle from concept development to production launch.
- Create detailed CAD models, 3D renderings, and manufacturing-ready technical documentation.
- Collaborate with manufacturing partners to ensure production feasibility and product quality.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to improve product functionality and experience.
- Iterate product designs based on customer feedback, research insights, and market trends.
- Develop CMF specifications and ensure design intent is maintained during mass production.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial or product design for physical consumer products.
- Experience working in fast-growing eCommerce companies with product development responsibilities.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, or Fusion 360.
- Advanced knowledge of rendering tools such as Keyshot and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping methods including 3D printing and physical mockups.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and design for mass production.
