Expansion & Operation Manager (iGaming/Fintech)

The company is seeking an experienced Expansion & Operation Manager to lead its entry and operational growth within the South African market. This role focuses on building the local business from the ground up, including developing market entry strategies, establishing operational infrastructure, and leading the organization’s local team. The successful candidate will work closely with global leadership to implement expansion strategies while ensuring full compliance with South African regulations. This position requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a deep understanding of the local business environment to successfully launch and scale operations.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive market research to develop a go-to-market strategy for South Africa.
- Build strategic partnerships with local stakeholders, suppliers, and business partners.
- Lead the establishment of the company’s legal entity and regulatory compliance processes.
- Manage the launch project including office setup, vendor selection, and operational planning.
- Oversee daily operations and ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.
- Recruit, train, and lead the local team while promoting a strong performance culture.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is considered advantageous.
- Minimum of 8–10 years of senior experience in operations management or business expansion.
- Demonstrated experience launching or scaling new business units or market operations.
- Strong understanding of South African regulatory frameworks and business practices.
- Proven financial management skills including budgeting and P&L responsibility.
