Senior DevEx/CI (desktop/mobile) Engineer

Brave is a privacy-focused technology company known for its secure web browser, private search engine, and blockchain-based digital advertising platform. With over 110 million users, Brave is expanding its engineering team and seeking a Senior DevEx/CI Engineer to build and maintain automation, build pipelines, and developer infrastructure that support large-scale desktop and mobile software releases across multiple platforms.

This remote role is designed for a senior DevEx and CI engineer responsible for improving developer productivity and build infrastructure for Brave’s desktop and mobile products. The engineer will help design and maintain scalable continuous integration systems, automation pipelines, and build infrastructure that support the development and release of Brave’s browser and related products.

The position focuses on reducing engineering toil and enabling rapid, reliable builds across a large and diverse codebase. Brave manages hundreds of daily builds across more than a thousand repositories using multiple programming languages and CI systems. The engineer will collaborate with experienced engineers to improve automation, streamline build processes, and maintain reliable release pipelines across desktop and mobile platforms.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation tools for desktop and mobile software releases
- Build and manage infrastructure for large-scale build systems across multiple repositories
- Improve build performance, reliability, and developer productivity
- Implement build and release engineering processes including packaging, distribution, and code signing
- Develop scripts and automation tools using Bash, Python, Kotlin, or Groovy
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve testing, reporting, and release workflows

Requirements:
- Strong experience with build and release engineering for desktop and mobile applications
- Familiarity with multiple operating systems including Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, and Windows
- Experience with CI systems such as TeamCity and Jenkins
- Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash, Python, Kotlin, or Groovy
- Experience with AWS infrastructure and Terraform automation
- Strong understanding of security, privacy, and scalable development workflows
