Senior Fullstack Engineer

Tether is a global fintech company behind the widely used stablecoin USDT and a suite of blockchain-based financial products and infrastructure solutions. The company is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to develop applications and platform components within its local AI stack. The role focuses on building full-stack JavaScript applications, integrating distributed systems, and delivering secure, scalable user experiences across desktop and mobile environments.

This remote position is designed for an experienced fullstack engineer who will contribute to building applications and platform services within Tether’s local AI ecosystem. The role focuses on developing full-stack JavaScript and TypeScript solutions that connect user-facing applications with distributed systems and AI inference infrastructure.

The engineer will work on QVAC, a local AI stack designed to enable fast, private AI capabilities directly on user devices. Projects may involve building mobile or desktop applications, developing SDKs, or integrating platform components that connect AI inference engines with application ecosystems. The position requires strong collaboration with platform and product teams to transform advanced AI capabilities into reliable real-world applications.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain React-based applications using modern JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks
- Build mobile and desktop applications using technologies such as Expo or Electron
- Integrate applications with distributed systems, AI inference engines, and peer-to-peer communication layers
- Implement REST APIs, WebSocket communication, and secure data storage solutions
- Write reliable, well-tested code including unit and end-to-end tests
- Collaborate with platform and product teams to deliver scalable application features

Requirements:
- Minimum of five years of experience in fullstack software development
- Expert-level proficiency with Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
- Experience building distributed or event-driven systems
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and scalable data architectures
- Ability to work independently in a remote, globally distributed environment
