Chief of Staff

The Chief of Staff role supports the CEO and leadership team by managing strategic projects, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, and driving execution across business operations.

Wave is seeking a Chief of Staff to work closely with the CEO and leadership team to drive high-impact initiatives across the organization. This role focuses on managing complex cross-functional projects that support the company’s mission of expanding accessible financial services across Africa. The Chief of Staff will help structure strategic initiatives, coordinate teams across departments, and ensure that key projects move efficiently from planning through execution.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute cross-functional strategic projects that support company priorities.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to ensure alignment across departments and operational markets.
- Structure complex problems into actionable plans and ensure timely decision-making.
- Coordinate with local operating teams to accelerate delivery of strategic initiatives.
- Support organizational projects such as operational improvements, restructuring initiatives, and licensing processes.
- Use data analysis, financial modeling, and operational insights to inform strategic decisions.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in high-performance environments such as consulting or growth-stage startups.
- Proven experience managing complex projects or leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong communication skills in both English and French.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams across multiple regions.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills in fast-paced environments.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and manage ambiguity.
