Product Manager, Oncology

The Product Manager, Oncology role leads the development of oncology-focused product initiatives that support clinical genomics and next-generation sequencing workflows. The position bridges scientific expertise and product development to deliver bioinformatics solutions used by researchers, laboratories, and clinicians worldwide.

Saphetor is seeking a Product Manager, Oncology to lead the development of oncology-focused capabilities within its bioinformatics product suite. This role sits at the intersection of clinical genomics, bioinformatics, and software development, translating scientific knowledge into practical product features that support genomic data analysis. The product manager will collaborate closely with scientists, developers, and commercial teams to ensure that oncology tools align with real-world laboratory workflows and evolving research needs.

Responsibilities:
- Lead oncology-related product initiatives from discovery through development and release.
- Translate complex genomic and clinical concepts into structured product requirements.
- Work closely with software engineers to define detailed technical specifications.
- Engage with molecular pathologists, clinical scientists, and bioinformaticians to understand workflow needs.
- Collaborate with regulatory, technology, and commercial teams to ensure product-market alignment.
- Support product launches and provide scientific training and documentation for internal teams.

Requirements:
- Master’s or PhD in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience working with NGS bioinformatics pipelines and genomic variant interpretation.
- Strong understanding of clinical genomics workflows and biomarker analysis.
- Experience collaborating with software development teams on technical product features.
- Ability to explain complex biological concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Fluency in English with strong communication skills.
