Headlands Research is seeking a Director of Biotech Partnerships to lead strategic collaborations between its clinical research network and biotechnology and pharmaceutical organizations. This leadership role focuses on building high-impact partnerships that support the development and execution of innovative clinical trials. The director will act as a key liaison between industry partners and internal clinical teams, ensuring that collaborations align with operational capabilities while delivering strong business and research outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with biotechnology and pharmaceutical partners.
- Identify potential partners whose development pipelines align with the organization’s therapeutic expertise.
- Lead partnership development from initial prospecting through collaboration execution and long-term relationship management.
- Present site capabilities and patient access strategies to sponsors and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with clinical site leaders to ensure operational feasibility for proposed trials.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging research technologies to strengthen partnership strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business discipline.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in clinical site operations, business development, or alliance management.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical partnerships and clinical drug development timelines.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills for engaging senior-level stakeholders.
- Proven project management abilities managing multiple partnerships simultaneously.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with clinical, operational, and business teams.
