Senior Systems Architect

This role focuses on leading hybrid cloud and identity architecture across Azure and enterprise Windows environments.

Altais is seeking a Senior Systems Architect to provide technical leadership and strategic direction for hybrid cloud and identity platforms. In this role, you will design secure and scalable infrastructure solutions while defining architectural standards for Azure, hybrid identity, and enterprise Windows environments.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the architectural authority for Azure, hybrid identity systems, and Windows infrastructure platforms.
- Design and implement scalable Azure architectures with a focus on security, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Architect and manage hybrid identity environments including Entra ID, Entra Connect/AAD Connect, and multi-domain Active Directory forests.
- Define and implement Infrastructure as Code standards using Terraform and related tooling.
- Develop automation frameworks and advanced PowerShell modules to manage enterprise environments.
- Architect enterprise-scale application deployment and packaging processes.
- Support identity federation and authentication integrations using SAML and OIDC across platforms such as Entra ID and Okta.
- Collaborate with security, DevOps, networking, and application teams to ensure architectural consistency.
- Mentor engineering teams and conduct architecture reviews to improve system reliability and automation practices.
- Provide technical guidance and strategic recommendations to leadership.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of Azure architecture experience at a senior or principal level.
- 5+ years supporting Windows Server and Active Directory infrastructure.
- Strong expertise in hybrid identity environments including Entra ID and Active Directory.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Experience integrating identity platforms using SAML and OIDC.
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud certifications preferred.
