This role focuses on leading a team of engineers while contributing hands-on to software development for scalable systems supporting ticketing platforms, payment services, and enterprise applications.

Job Description

 

AXS is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering to lead a team responsible for building scalable technology that powers its global ticketing platform. In this role, you will guide engineers while remaining hands-on in software development and architectural decisions. You will collaborate with product, infrastructure, and operations teams to design and deliver features that support high-traffic consumer applications, B2B platforms, and payment systems used by event organizers and fans worldwide.


Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of 4–6 software engineers including coaching and performance reviews.
- Contribute hands-on to coding, code reviews, and improvement of development practices.
- Collaborate with architecture, QA, infrastructure, and operations teams on technical initiatives.
- Coordinate with product managers and stakeholders to plan and deliver software features.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and retention of engineering talent.
- Ensure reliable delivery of scalable software solutions supporting global ticketing services.


Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a senior or lead software engineer with technical leadership responsibilities.
- At least 3 years of people management experience overseeing multiple engineers.
- Strong experience in full stack development using ReactJS, .NET, and SQL.
- Deep understanding of software development lifecycle and CI/CD practices.
- Experience designing scalable systems and solving complex engineering problems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and modern deployment environments.
