The Engineering Manager, Business Operations leads engineering teams responsible for building and maintaining operational systems including warehouse management, payment platforms, ERP integrations, and other business-critical infrastructure.

Misfits Market is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Business Operations engineering team responsible for building and maintaining systems that support the company’s operational infrastructure. These systems power warehouse management, payment processing, ERP integrations, and third-party business platforms. The role combines people leadership, technical oversight, and delivery management to ensure the reliability and scalability of operational systems across the organization.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers responsible for operational systems and third-party integrations
- Collaborate with product, operations, finance, and supply chain teams to prioritize engineering initiatives
- Oversee development of scalable backend systems supporting logistics and operational workflows
- Ensure engineering best practices including code quality, testing, and system reliability
- Manage risks related to integrations, data pipelines, and external vendor systems
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and career development support to engineering team members

Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 years experience in software engineering, particularly in backend or distributed systems
- At least 4 years experience in engineering management or technical leadership
- Experience building operational systems such as warehouse management, ERP, or payment platforms
- Experience integrating with third-party vendors and external systems
- Strong prioritization and stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to lead teams responsible for high-reliability business-critical systems
