Developer Lead (Full-Stack)

The Developer Lead (Full-Stack) role focuses on building scalable financial systems, leading engineering execution, and delivering high-impact product features across backend and frontend technologies.

xpate is seeking a Developer Lead (Full-Stack) to design and deliver scalable financial technology solutions that power its global payment platform. This role focuses on building and optimizing distributed systems that support cross-border transactions and digital payment services. The Developer Lead will take ownership of feature development from architecture through release, while ensuring reliability, performance, and strong engineering standards across the platform.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement event-driven, serverless workflows using AWS technologies
- Develop and maintain backend and frontend systems using Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript
- Integrate banking rails, payment providers, and internal financial systems
- Optimize platform performance, reliability, and operational costs
- Lead end-to-end delivery including architecture design, coding, reviews, deployment, and monitoring
- Mentor engineering team members and establish strong technical standards

Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience working in a lead engineering or similar high-ownership role
- Strong experience building full-stack applications with modern backend and frontend technologies
- Deep experience with AWS serverless architecture and distributed systems design
- Proficiency with technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript, DynamoDB, Aurora, and JavaScript frameworks
- Ability to design scalable architectures and manage complex integrations
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within English-speaking teams
