Senior Data Engineer

The Senior Data Engineer designs and operates scalable data infrastructure, builds high-throughput data pipelines, and develops reliable data platforms that support analytics, operational workloads, and machine learning capabilities across a multi-tenant system.

GR8 Tech is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and operate scalable data infrastructure supporting its high-throughput iGaming platform. This role focuses on building robust data systems that power analytics, operational workloads, and machine learning capabilities across a multi-tenant environment. The engineer will take ownership of data architecture decisions, implement reliable data pipelines, and ensure data systems operate efficiently under strict performance and reliability requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines for large-scale data processing
- Architect and evolve data storage layers including data lakes and analytical systems
- Develop scalable data models supporting analytics, machine learning, and operational use cases
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and observability across all data pipelines
- Implement event-driven architectures and real-time data processing systems
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and data scientists to deliver reliable data solutions

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience building and operating production-grade data systems
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data engineering workflows
- Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka
- Hands-on experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
- Experience designing high-throughput, low-latency data systems
- Cloud platform experience, preferably with AWS
