Job Description

 

Eqvilent is seeking a Legal Counsel (Contracts) to support its Legal and Compliance team by managing commercial and employment contracts across multiple jurisdictions. This role focuses on delivering practical legal advice, managing contract negotiations, and ensuring legal compliance throughout the contract lifecycle. The Legal Counsel will collaborate closely with commercial, technology, and HR teams to provide business-oriented legal guidance while maintaining high standards of legal documentation and risk management.


Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and employment contracts with counterparties across different jurisdictions
- Manage the full contract lifecycle including drafting, internal approvals, negotiation, and contract execution
- Provide legal advice to internal teams on contractual matters, regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation
- Maintain contract repositories, documentation systems, and legal project workspaces
- Prepare reports summarizing contract activity, negotiation status, and project progress for management
- Conduct quality control reviews of legal documentation and ensure compliance with internal processes


Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law with additional legal education preferred
- 2 to 4 years experience in contract management within an in-house legal team, corporate environment, or international law firm
- Strong knowledge of contract law principles and corporate governance frameworks
- Experience drafting legal agreements and negotiating commercial terms
- Excellent organizational and documentation management skills
- Advanced English proficiency with strong written and verbal communication skills
