Velir is seeking a VP, People Experience to lead and evolve its People & Culture function within a growing, remote-first agency environment. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this executive role blends strategic leadership with operational execution, ensuring that people initiatives directly support business growth, organizational effectiveness, and a strong, inclusive culture.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, aligning people strategy with company objectives
- Lead and develop the People & Culture team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement
- Design and optimize programs across the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding
- Oversee compensation, benefits, workforce planning, and retention strategies
- Build scalable HR operations and lead HR technology strategy and digital roadmap
- Drive engagement, culture, and change management initiatives using data-informed decision-making
Requirements:
- 10+ years of progressive HR or People leadership experience
- Experience within an agency or professional services environment preferred
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders in complex, fast-moving organizations
- Strong business acumen with experience aligning HR initiatives to company strategy
- Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing HR teams
- Strong communication, change management, and organizational development expertise
