Tether is seeking a Developer Relations P2P professional to drive adoption and engagement for Pear, its peer-to-peer runtime and deployment platform, by creating technical content, fostering community growth, and bridging developers with product teams.

Tether is hiring a Developer Relations P2P professional to support Pear, a Peer-to-Peer (P2P) runtime, development, and deployment tool enabling zero-infrastructure P2P applications across desktop, terminal, and mobile environments.


This role focuses on engaging, educating, and inspiring the developer community while advocating for Tether’s P2P technology stack and improving developer experience.


Responsibilities:


Developer Advocacy & Community Building:
- Build relationships with developers, partners, and open-source communities.
- Host AMAs, webinars, office hours, and community events.
- Collect and synthesize developer feedback for product and engineering teams.
- Identify collaboration opportunities with influential developers and projects.


Technical Content & Enablement:
- Create high-quality technical content (tutorials, blog posts, SDK guides, sample apps).
- Develop demos and reference implementations showcasing real-world P2P use cases.
- Improve onboarding flows, documentation, and API design.
- Support workshops, hackathons, and developer training sessions.


Product Evangelism:
- Represent Pear and Tether at industry events and online communities.
- Translate technical concepts into compelling value propositions.
- Align technical storytelling with broader marketing efforts.
- Track community engagement and adoption metrics.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with engineering, product, and marketing teams.
- Contribute to launch strategies for APIs, SDKs, and developer features.
- Support early technical discussions with partners and customers.
- Advocate for developer experience improvements in roadmap discussions.


Thought Leadership:
- Serve as a technical spokesperson through public speaking and open-source contributions.
- Stay ahead of P2P, Web, and developer tooling trends.
- Mentor internal teams on developer communication best practices.


Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Prior Developer Advocate / DevRel / Technical Community experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Production experience with React Native and/or Electron.
- Experience building, testing, and maintaining applications or APIs.
- Proven ability to create engaging technical content.
- Experience presenting at developer events.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing or promoting SDKs and developer tools.
- Open-source contributions or active GitHub presence.
- Experience integrating AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Codex, etc.).
- Familiarity with DevRel success metrics (engagement, reach, adoption).
- 4–6 years total experience in development or developer relations.
