Engineering Manager, Infrastructure (EVM / Cloud / Security)

Gensyn is building an open, permissionless protocol to coordinate compute resources for machine intelligence. The Engineering Manager, Infrastructure will lead platform, SRE, and security teams, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across distributed systems with a strong focus on Ethereum/EVM environments.

Gensyn is seeking an Engineering Manager, Infrastructure to build and lead a high-performing team responsible for production reliability, platform scalability, and security. This is a hands-on leadership role combining deep technical expertise in cloud and distributed systems with strong Ethereum/EVM experience.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow Infrastructure, Platform, SRE, and Security engineering teams
- Own production system reliability, scalability, and security posture (SLOs, SLIs, incident response, postmortems)
- Drive roadmap planning, prioritization, and execution of high-impact infrastructure initiatives
- Partner with the CTO and technical leads to remove blockers and align infrastructure strategy
- Establish strong operational rigor, observability standards, and developer platform capabilities
- Improve deployment velocity, tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, security, and research teams

Requirements:
- 7+ years building and operating production infrastructure/platform/security systems
- Proven people management experience leading infrastructure or SRE teams
- Strong cloud systems and distributed systems engineering background
- Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, Terraform/IaC, CI/CD, and observability tooling
- Demonstrated experience scaling distributed systems with measurable reliability/security outcomes
- Meaningful Ethereum/EVM experience (smart contract security/auditing or EVM-based protocol development)

Nice to Have:
- Experience with distributed ML systems or GPU-heavy infrastructure
- Background in research-adjacent engineering teams
- Open-source contributions
- Formal verification, fuzzing, or advanced EVM security testing experience
