The WordPress Support Specialist delivers technical assistance, troubleshooting, and customer guidance across hosting and plugin services. This role supports global customers through chat, email, and forums while contributing to a distributed 24/7 support team.

Job Description

 

WPMU DEV is seeking a WordPress Support Specialist to provide expert-level technical assistance to customers using its WordPress plugins, hosting services, and site management tools. This fully remote role operates within a global 24/7 support team and requires availability for weekend shifts during the specified UTC hours.


Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to customers experiencing issues with WordPress websites, plugins, or hosting services
- Diagnose and debug problems by logging into customer sites and isolating root causes
- Respond promptly to support inquiries via email, chat, and forums
- Participate in WordPress.org forums with helpful and professional engagement
- Document troubleshooting steps and escalate detailed bug reports to development teams
- Recommend solutions for feature requests and assist with complex WordPress inquiries


Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of WordPress experience
- Proficiency in PHP, CSS, MySQL, and HTML
- Strong understanding of WordPress hooks, filters, and debugging tools
- Ability to interpret browser console errors and developer tools output
- Excellent written English communication skills
- Availability to work full-time, including weekends and assigned UTC shifts
