LifeStance Health is seeking an Intake Coordinator (CST) to support new patients in establishing care within its mental health network. This role facilitates the initial stages of patient engagement, including scheduling, insurance verification, and documentation, while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and delivering a patient-centered experience.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule initial patient assessments and accurately document appointment details
- Conduct intake assessments to match patients with appropriate providers
- Verify insurance eligibility and collect required demographic and clinical information
- Manage referral documentation and assist with portal setup and onboarding paperwork
- Handle inbound and outbound communications via phone, email, chat, and fax
- Ensure accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and maintain HIPAA compliance
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare or contact center environments
- Strong understanding of insurance terminology and eligibility processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record systems
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
