Client Dedicated - Microsoft Cloud Security Engineer

The Microsoft Cloud Security Engineer administers and optimizes Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and security platforms while leading automation, hybrid identity management, and compliance initiatives. This role supports enterprise-wide collaboration, security, and infrastructure modernization in a client-dedicated environment.

New Era Technology is seeking a Microsoft Cloud Security Engineer to manage and optimize Microsoft 365 and identity security environments in a client-dedicated capacity. This role supports enterprise collaboration, hybrid identity infrastructure, automation, and compliance initiatives while ensuring secure and efficient Microsoft ecosystem operations.

Responsibilities:
- Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
- Manage Entra ID, hybrid identity configurations, and synchronization with on-premises Active Directory
- Configure and monitor Microsoft Defender, Purview, and related security and compliance solutions
- Develop automation workflows using PowerShell, Python, and Azure Logic Apps
- Maintain Windows Server infrastructure supporting Active Directory and domain services
- Collaborate with stakeholders to document processes, resolve incidents, and improve operational efficiency

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of IAM or software development experience, including Microsoft AD and Entra ID
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, and Azure automation tools
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Azure, and Microsoft 365 administration
- Experience managing hybrid identity environments and privileged access controls
- Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills
