Spring Fertility is seeking a Financial Counselor to support patients in understanding and managing the financial aspects of their fertility treatment. This remote role works independently to provide cost transparency, review insurance benefits, and coordinate financial processes while ensuring patients receive clear and compassionate guidance throughout their care journey.
Responsibilities:
- Provide patients and healthcare providers with accurate estimates for upcoming treatments
- Collect estimated patient liabilities and apply payments to accounts
- Review insurance coverage and benefit limits, clearly explaining financial responsibilities
- Communicate patient financial status internally by analyzing accounts receivable and resolving discrepancies
- Initiate prior authorization requests according to insurance requirements
- Support reimbursement efforts for uninsured and underinsured patients while minimizing financial risk
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in fertility or healthcare
- Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices
- Proficiency in MS Office and electronic medical records systems
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly to patients
