DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer

xpate is an all-in-one money management platform enabling businesses and fintechs to manage global payments securely and efficiently. As a DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer, you will architect, optimize, and scale AWS infrastructure supporting real-time financial transactions. This role focuses on reliability, automation, security, and cost efficiency, driving infrastructure improvements that ensure high availability and compliance in a fast-growing fintech environment.

xpate is seeking a Senior DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer to own the reliability, scalability, and evolution of its AWS infrastructure. This role is responsible for architecting and optimizing systems that power real-time payment processing and financial transactions. You will proactively identify bottlenecks, implement improvements, and ensure infrastructure is secure, compliant, and cost-efficient.

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and improve AWS architecture for reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Design monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes to ensure high availability.
- Architect scalable systems supporting real-time financial transaction processing.
- Manage and optimize databases including Aurora and DynamoDB.
- Implement infrastructure as code, automation practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Own infrastructure security, compliance controls, and data protection standards.

Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience designing and operating production infrastructure.
- 2–3+ years of hands-on AWS experience including Lambda, S3, Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation scripting.
- Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and asynchronous systems.
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an ownership mindset.
