Developer Lead (Full-Stack)

xpate is an all-in-one money management platform enabling businesses and fintechs to move money seamlessly across borders. As Developer Lead (Full-Stack), you will design and ship end-to-end features, lead serverless architecture on AWS, and optimize performance, reliability, and scalability. This role combines hands-on engineering, system design leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to drive high-impact product delivery in a fast-moving fintech environment.

xpate is seeking a hands-on Developer Lead (Full-Stack) to take full ownership of technical delivery and platform evolution. This role focuses on designing, building, and shipping scalable solutions with speed and accountability. You will lead by example, making strong architectural decisions while ensuring engineering execution remains efficient, reliable, and high quality across the stack.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement event-driven, serverless workflows using AWS Lambda-first architecture.
- Integrate acquiring and banking rails, payment providers, and internal systems.
- Optimize infrastructure for cost efficiency, latency reduction, and system stability.
- Reduce technical debt while improving reliability, observability, and security.
- Contribute across the full stack including Node.js, TypeScript, DynamoDB, Aurora, and frontend applications.
- Lead end-to-end execution from architecture and implementation through release and monitoring.

Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a Lead Engineer or high-ownership technical role.
- Strong full-stack expertise with complex system design experience.
- Deep production-grade AWS serverless knowledge.
- Experience integrating external payment and financial systems.
- Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript across backend and frontend.
- Strong decision-making skills, ownership mindset, and ability to mentor engineers.
