Tether is seeking a Head of Regulatory Affairs – AI and P2P to lead global regulatory strategy for its Tether Data business vertical. This executive role focuses on shaping and executing regulatory affairs strategies across artificial intelligence and peer-to-peer technologies. The position works closely with executive leadership, legal, compliance, and product teams to ensure proactive engagement with evolving global regulatory landscapes while supporting innovation and responsible technology deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze global regulatory developments related to AI, data privacy, and P2P technologies
- Develop and execute regulatory strategies aligned with international compliance requirements
- Engage with regulators, policymakers, and industry bodies to advocate and shape regulatory frameworks
- Provide strategic guidance to executive leadership on regulatory risks and opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate regulatory considerations into product development
- Lead preparation of regulatory submissions and oversee complex regulatory interactions
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior regulatory affairs role within technology, AI, or digital industries
- Strong knowledge of global AI regulations, data privacy laws such as GDPR, and P2P governance frameworks
- Experience engaging with regulators and securing favorable policy outcomes
- Demonstrated understanding of decentralized and self-sovereign technology architectures
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Policy, Computer Science, or related field
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex regulatory topics
