Sharebite is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team responsible for building scalable systems that power its meal benefits platform. The platform enables employees to order from any restaurant while streamlining corporate billing and contributing to meal donations that combat food insecurity. This role combines technical leadership with people management, ensuring strong engineering culture, delivery excellence, and continuous team development.
Responsibilities:
- Build, lead, and mentor a team of software engineers, supporting career growth and technical development
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and create individual development plans
- Provide technical guidance through code reviews and architectural oversight to ensure scalability and quality
- Partner with Product and Design to define project scope, priorities, and technical requirements
- Drive sprint planning, remove blockers, and ensure timely delivery of features
- Champion best practices in testing, observability, incident management, and engineering metrics
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of software development experience delivering production systems
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Python and JavaScript
- 2+ years of experience in a people management or team leadership role
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and scalable architecture
- Strong communication skills and a high-ownership mindset
