AI Engineer

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking an AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI systems that address complex mission challenges. This role focuses on architecting production-grade multi-agent and RAG-based AI solutions, building scalable pipelines, and integrating AI services into enterprise environments. The position emphasizes reliability, observability, and secure deployment while aligning AI initiatives with organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement production-grade multi-agent AI solutions using modern orchestration frameworks  
- Build and maintain end-to-end AI pipelines from data ingestion to deployment and evaluation  
- Develop and deploy internal AI applications to enhance productivity and automation  
- Implement observability practices including logging, metrics, and performance monitoring  
- Integrate AI services with enterprise systems and support AIOps deployment practices  
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align AI solutions with business goals  

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field  
- 5+ years of AI and machine learning experience with end-to-end project delivery  
- 1+ year of experience developing RAG and agentic AI solutions  
- Proficiency in Python, R, or Java and frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch  
- Experience with agentic frameworks such as LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar  
- Experience with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, OCI, or Google Cloud
