AI Engineer

The AI Engineer will design, develop, and deploy advanced AI systems and agentic solutions to enhance automation, productivity, and decision-making. This role focuses on architecting scalable AI pipelines, integrating enterprise systems, and delivering mission-critical AI capabilities in a secure, cloud-based environment.

GDIT is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI models and agentic systems that drive measurable outcomes across mission-critical initiatives. This role focuses on building scalable, production-grade AI solutions that enhance automation, decision-making, and organizational productivity within secure enterprise environments.

Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement production-grade multi-agent AI systems using modern orchestration frameworks  
- Build and maintain end-to-end AI pipelines, from data ingestion and embedding to deployment and evaluation  
- Develop and deploy internal AI applications to enhance AI-enabled productivity  
- Implement observability practices including logging, metrics, and performance monitoring  
- Integrate AI services with enterprise systems and support AIOps practices for scalability  
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align AI initiatives with business and mission objectives  

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field  
- 5+ years of experience in AI and machine learning development and deployment  
- 1+ year of experience with RAG and agentic AI technologies  
- Proficiency in Python, R, or Java and frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch  
- Experience with agentic frameworks such as LangGraph or LlamaIndex  
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, OCI, or Google Cloud
