Automattic is seeking an experienced Brand/Creative Designer to develop compelling marketing campaigns and scalable brand systems across its portfolio of open web products. In this fully remote role, you will collaborate with marketing, product, engineering, and business teams to create high-quality visual experiences that support business growth and reinforce brand identity.
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and execute creative marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels
- Evolve and maintain brand systems, templates, and style guides to support scalable design practices
- Collaborate with marketing and business teams to align creative output with growth objectives
- Partner with engineers and product designers to ensure consistent experiences across marketing and product
- Manage external creative contractors and oversee project execution
- Communicate design decisions clearly across written, verbal, and visual channels
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in brand and marketing design within agency or in-house environments
- Strong portfolio showcasing brand, web, and marketing creative work
- Ability to lead design initiatives and challenge existing approaches constructively
- Experience managing multiple projects with cross-functional stakeholders
- Strategic problem-solving skills balancing storytelling and systems thinking
- Familiarity with remote collaboration and distributed teams
