The WordPress Support Specialist delivers technical support across plugins and hosting services, troubleshooting WordPress issues, assisting customers via chat and forums, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure high-quality solutions.

Job Description

 

WPMU DEV is seeking a WordPress Support Specialist to provide expert technical assistance to its global customer base. This role involves diagnosing and resolving WordPress-related issues across plugins, hosting environments, and custom configurations. Working in a distributed team, you will deliver responsive, high-quality support while collaborating closely with developers and second-level support teams to escalate and document complex issues.


Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding WordPress sites, plugins, and hosting services
- Log into customer websites to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues
- Participate in WordPress.org forums, providing helpful and professional guidance
- Write clear, detailed responses via email, chat, and support forums
- Document troubleshooting steps and prepare detailed bug reports for escalation
- Collaborate with development and support teams to improve product quality and customer experience


Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience working with WordPress
- Proficiency in PHP, CSS, MySQL, and HTML
- Strong knowledge of WordPress hooks, filters, and debugging techniques
- Ability to diagnose issues using browser developer tools and console errors
- Excellent written communication skills in English
- Availability to work full-time, including weekends and assigned UTC shift hours
