The Sr. Software Engineer - UI builds browser-integrated web interfaces for AI-powered features, collaborating with product and design teams to deliver performant, accessible, and scalable user experiences across desktop and mobile platforms.

Brave is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer - UI to join its Browser AI team, building privacy-focused, browser-integrated user interfaces that power next-generation AI features. This role operates at the intersection of web UI, browser internals, and AI capabilities, delivering seamless and high-performance experiences across desktop and mobile platforms. You will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and Chromium engineers to bring innovative concepts to life.

Responsibilities:
- Implement browser-integrated Web UI features using TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks such as React, Svelte, Lit, or Web Components
- Collaborate with product and design teams to translate specifications into polished user experiences
- Integrate with custom browser APIs and Chromium communication frameworks
- Customize native Chromium UI elements including toolbars, modals, and browser settings
- Ensure high-quality, well-tested, and performant code delivery
- Contribute to peer reviews and continuously improve engineering processes

Requirements:
- Strong experience building complex web applications with advanced state management
- Deep knowledge of modern JavaScript UI frameworks such as React, Svelte, Vue, or Web Components
- Advanced CSS skills and commitment to accessibility and localization best practices
- Understanding of performance measurement and optimization techniques
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C#, PHP, Objective-C, or C++
- Willingness to learn browser-level development concepts and large-scale codebases
