The CTO – Head of Product Engineering leads internal systems architecture and product engineering strategy. This role designs simple, high-leverage technical systems, guides a senior engineering team, and translates trading and research needs into scalable, AI-augmentable tools.

Job Description

 

Deeter Analytics is seeking a CTO – Head of Product Engineering to architect and simplify its internal technical ecosystem within a high-performance investment environment. This role focuses on building clean, high-leverage systems that support trading and research workflows while maintaining architectural clarity as the firm scales with AI. The position emphasizes first-principles thinking, disciplined execution, and technical rigor over organizational complexity.


Responsibilities:
- Own and simplify the architecture of internal systems and technical infrastructure.
- Design minimal, AI-augmentable systems with clear standards and interfaces.
- Translate trading and research needs into concise technical specifications.
- Shape and prioritize the engineering roadmap based on leverage and impact.
- Prototype rapidly to validate ideas and deliver high-impact internal tools.
- Guide a small senior engineering team through clarity, alignment, and architectural direction.


Requirements:
- Strong systems architecture and first-principles problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to design simple, scalable technical environments.
- Experience translating ambiguous business needs into structured engineering plans.
- Proven track record of rapid prototyping and disciplined product execution.
- Ability to lead through reasoning and clarity rather than hierarchy.
