This role serves as a key liaison between patients, pharmacists, clinicians, and internal teams, ensuring efficient medication refill processing and high-quality customer service. The specialist will manage claims adjudication, prescription status inquiries, and medication handling requirements within a remote work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate medication refills including data entry and pharmacy claim adjudication.
- Conduct outbound patient refill calls and complete refill processing.
- Respond to inbound inquiries regarding prescription coverage and fulfillment.
- Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists or clinicians as appropriate.
- Identify medications requiring special handling or storage requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- State registration as a Pharmacy Technician; national CPhT certification preferred.
- 1–3 years of pharmacy technician experience, including claim adjudication preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems.
- Reliable high-speed internet and distraction-free remote work environment.
