OmniTRAX is seeking a Pricing & Yield Management Analyst to develop and execute pricing strategies that maximize revenue and network efficiency across its railroad portfolio. This role combines financial modeling, market analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver data-driven pricing recommendations. The analyst will evaluate freight rail economics, customer behavior, and competitive alternatives to ensure profitable and competitive rate structures across short line markets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain pricing models to support competitive and profitable rate structures.
- Lead RFP and bid pricing processes aligned with corporate revenue objectives.
- Analyze lane-level economics, cost structures, and competitive transportation alternatives.
- Recommend rate adjustments based on demand elasticity, cost trends, and market conditions.
- Monitor rail rate trends, carload volumes, and customer data to identify pricing opportunities.
- Generate dashboards and reports summarizing yield performance, margins, and win/loss metrics.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in rail transportation, logistics, or pricing management.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with Excel and BI tool proficiency.
- Ability to interpret market data and develop actionable pricing strategies.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with rail commercial functions, costing, or pricing systems preferred.
