Automattic is seeking an experienced Brand/Creative Designer to join its global, distributed team. This role focuses on developing high-impact marketing campaigns and evolving brand systems that support a portfolio of widely used digital publishing and commerce products. The designer will collaborate with marketing, product, engineering, and external partners to create compelling brand experiences that drive growth and strengthen market presence.
Responsibilities:
- Develop exceptional creative concepts and visual designs for multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Contribute to and evolve brand systems, templates, and style guides to scale design practices.
- Partner with marketing and business teams to develop projects aligned with growth objectives.
- Collaborate with engineers and product designers to ensure cohesive brand and product experiences.
- Manage and oversee project execution with external creative contractors.
- Communicate clearly across written, visual, and verbal formats to align stakeholders and deliver results.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in brand and marketing design within agency or in-house environments.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating brand, campaign, and web design expertise.
- Ability to lead large design initiatives and challenge existing creative approaches.
- Experience managing projects from concept through final execution.
- Strategic problem-solving skills with both creative and systems-thinking capabilities.
- Comfort working in fully remote, globally distributed teams.
